New report on state budgets in Nigeria, puts Sub-national governments in Nigeria under periscope of fiscal Accountability and Transparency, parameters of governance social contract. The report, Closing The Gap Between Intent And Realities, analyzes the Nexus between the 2018 budget of selected states across Nigeria and their policy commitments, and highlights performance of the states of Delta, Rivers, Edo, Akwa Ibom, Nassarawa and Kano, in the management of Public Finance Comprising Revenues and Expenditures in 2018. Through the systematic process of field monitoring’s and evaluations, budget reviews and interviews with local and state actors, the study bring to light a discomfiting drift towards opaqueness and resource mismanagement   Download Full Report
