In the coming months, 10 On-Air Personalities across 10 states in Nigeria will kick off innovative anti-corruption radio programmes to mainstream young people into the fight against corruption in Nigeria. This is following the announcement of winners of the Bounce Corruption Radio Ambassadors Innovative Contest for Radio Campaign on Anti-Corruption organised by Yiaga Africa and supported by the MacArthur Foundation.
The Bounce Corruption Radio Ambassadors network was launched by Yiaga Africa in 2017 to galvanize citizens’ voices in the fight against corruption and demand accountability through radio, which remains a veritable medium of communication in Nigeria and reaches a diverse audience across social class, age, and other forms of diversity.
The innovative contest, which was the second edition, provided an opportunity for the Radio Ambassadors to share innovative program ideas and host anti-corruption programs for a period of time while the radio campaign is aimed at supporting the Bounce Corruption Radio Ambassadors to implement innovative initiatives to promote accountability. These initiatives are expected to inspire citizens’ interest to join the fight against corruption in Nigeria and build a more resilient society against corruption. Download Full Report
