BUILDING FORMIDABLE FORCES TO END CORRUPTION IN EDUCATION, HEALTH AND POWER

The Civil Resource Development
and Documentation Centre (CIRDDOC) in partnership with its Transparency & Accountability
Group (CTAG) and with support from Women's Rights Advancement and Protection Alternative
(WRAPA) and MacArthur foundation organised a one-day interface meeting with diverse
range of stakeholders. The meeting which held at Oji River and Isi-Uzo Local Government
Areas of Enugu State on 13th and 14th November, 2019
respectively futured information and knowledge sharing sessions.
The meeting witnessed the
presence of House Members representing Oji River and Isi-Uzo, Local Government Councillors,
Local Government Chairmen, Education Secretaries, Enugu Electricity
Distribution Company (EEDC) officials, Heads of Departments of Health and
Education, Political Parties representatives, Chairmen of School Based
Management Communities (SBMC), Traditional Leaders, Women, Men and Youth Groups
representatives, Chairmen and Secretaries of community health and electricity
committees as well as ward councillors.
The highlights of the meeting include:

Presentation and verification of
identified issues around education, health, electricity, infrastructure and
women inclusion in various communities by CTAG and traditional leaders.
·
Goodwill messages and feedbacks in
response to the issues presented by the State/LGA/Community actors.
The meeting ended with commitments
and plan of action by all stakeholders to ensure good service delivery and zero
tolerance to corruption.
