AND CORRUPT PRACTICES IN UBE/SUBEB PROJECTS IN KADUNA STATE
Legal Awareness
for Nigerian Women (LANW) is a Non-Governmental Organization that focuses on
engaging stakeholders to improve human rights, governance, and accountability
issues in Nigeria.
LANW in
partnership with MacArthur Foundation is implementing a three years project in
relation to tracking the Universal Basic Education (UBE)/ State Universal Basic
Education Board (SUBEB) intervention projects in Kaduna state under her ‘Strengthening Accountability and Transparency in Nigerian Education
Sector (STATNES)’ project. The programme is aimed at promoting inclusive, responsive governance,
advancement of accountability and transparency in the Nigerian Education
Sector. The project is also geared at
contributing to Nigeria’s anti-corruption agenda involving members of host
communities and other stakeholders in the education sector to enhance quality
service delivery.
LANW
is organizing a public outreach on fraud, corruption, and corrupt practices,
legal and institutional frame work for preventing and
controlling corruption and Anti-corruption management strategies.
This Public
Outreach is to expose citizens to reduce the potential of fraud and corrupt
practices among service providers in the use of UBE/SUBEB funds. It is in
recognition of the role your institution plays as a stakeholder that we invite
you to the interface. The outreach is schedule to hold as follows:
