Social Development Integrated Centre, Social Action with support from MacArthur Foundation proposes a town hall meeting on “Curbing incidences of Corruption; A Community led Approach”. The town hall meeting holding in Yenegoa, Bayelsa State is conceived in the framework of the on-going efforts to tackle corruption in public life at the sub-national level. To win the war against corruption, community voices need to be strengthened to speak up and report incidences of corruption. Popular grass root voices are critical in the fight against corruption as they suffer the most from corrupt activities of political office holders and their cronies. As a result of corrupt practices, communities suffer from sub standard infrastructures, lack or inadequate social services and poor economic conditions, a state of privation and deprivation.

This event is open to the general public.
