CITIZENS’ ROLE IN COMBATING CORRUPTION; A COMMUNITY APPROACH

Social Development Integrated Centre, Social Action with support from MacArthur Foundation proposes a town hall meeting Citizens ’ Role in Combating Corruption; a Community Approach. The town hall meeting is conceived in the frame of the on-going efforts to tackle public corruption at the sub-national level. The need for active community voices in the campaign against cannot be over emphasized. Popular grass root voices are critical in the fight against corruption as they suffer the most from corrupt activities of political office holders. As a result corruption, communities suffer from decrepit infrastructure, lack or inadequate social services and poor economic conditions.
