The conference is conceived in the frame of on-going efforts to tackle public corruption at different levels of the Nation's polity. This is particularly pivotal at a time the region is laden with abandoned projects across its landscape, that gulped monumental amounts of public resources and of which has robbed the citizens of its value (socio, economic health etc), thus contributing to the poor quality of life inherent in the region. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has recently indicated interest to engage this[1]. This commitment thus presents window of opportunity as Citizens Groups to support the anti-graft effort by engaging citizens and different stakeholders as well as sharing vital information on this phenomenon as documented in Investigative reports and from across project monitoring exercises in the Niger Delta region.

This event is open to the general public.
