This project intends to engage the legislature through various methodologies to ensure that its work is strengthened to understand the consequences of receiving pay-offs and the benefits of carrying out its oversight effectively as enshrined in the Constitution. By strengthening the role of legislative oversight (as a preventive mechanism), this project aims to reduce opportunities for retail corruption and increase the cost of corruption (since public sector operations always carry a risk of corruption). In this regard, CISLAC’s focus is on engaging the legislature to take measures to prevent corruption opportunities from happening (including legislative reviews), raise the risk for perpetrators to be caught, and increase the possibilities of punishment for perpetrators of corruption.

This is an Invitation Only event.
