Port Harcourt, Rivers State

The Rivers State gubernatorial debate is being put together to bring the candidates of four of the leading parties in the state with the electorate to an interactive forum where specific questions would be asked and the candidates provide answers to them. It will also give the parties the opportunity to sell their manifesto to the electorate. This is designed as a marked departure from the campaigns organised by the political parties where the citizens don’t have the opportunity to ask questions. The parties are selected through a combined process of public online polls, a physical survey administered on a random basis on the citizens and the spread of the parties in the state. The debate is expected to bring out the salient issues on good governance, the environment, security, commerce, youth, and employment. The debate will take place on the 5th of March 2019 at the Aztech Arcum Event Centre Port Harcourt.
The debate is expected to host about 400 guests and would be televised live by Channels Television, Silverbird Television, and Wazobia Max TV. Other radio partners like Rhythm FM, Nigeria Info and Wazobia FM will be transmitting the live proceedings as well.

This is an Invitation Only event.
